Merry Christmas!

This year, Sweet Pea wants a caterpillar for Christmas. The one she wants is yellow, black, and fuzzy wuzzy. She’s already written a nice note to Santa, hoping she’ll get her very first pet. She’s also excited about giving a lot of gifts this season. If you want a caterpillar, let her know. She can tell you where to find some good ones. Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sweet Pea colored her own turkey feathers and pilgrim hats this year. But, of course, she had to add a little color by making them RAINBOW! Sweet Pea will be enjoying her turkey at Thanksgiving. There might even be a little split pea soup! Speaking of pea soup, The Dinosaur Bean will be available in paperback very soon. Stay tuned for a big announcement!

Inspiration

This is a photo of the sweet pea who inspired the author, Justin Meckes, to write the Sweet Pea books. Just weeks after this little one’s birth, Justin began referring to her as his sweet pea. After quite a few more nicknames, he happened to refer to her as a bean. It was on that day that the legumes were born.
